My name is Liz and I am gearing up for my 2nd trip to Western Europe as a 29-year old Au Pair.
I have figured out some of the magic of traveling on a budget in one quick 3-month excursion. Bigger than money management however, I’ve discovered how to be more honest and direct with myself and others.

Oh yeah, “without a pillow.” I slept on a really lousy bed for 11 months a few years ago — more on this later. Pillows were an option, but I chose not to use one (because I preferred not to have any…. I know, I’m a weirdo lol). When I left home this past fall, I brought only my travel pillow, and only for sleeping sitting up; despite the plethora of couches, that tiny pillow was more than enough.
